該地區氣候冷涼、終日雲霧籠罩、日照時間短，受此氣候、環境等天然因素影響，一年只在春冬兩季有生產，而所生產出來的大禹嶺高山茶，茶葉條索緊實、色澤珠綠墨亮、葉肉幼嫩肥大風味獨特、香韻甘醇、佳茗入喉、唇齒留香，實乃茶中特珍品。
產自梨山新佳陽茶區，海拔約莫2000公尺的茶園，只選用春冬兩季製成的高品質茶葉。新佳陽，位處於大甲溪上游，也是泰雅族人居住的部落之一處。
