Last year from barrel this was restrained to the point of being almost mute but that is no longer the case as the nose is now overtly expressive with very ripe and again borderline exotic aromas of yellow orchard fruit along with the more classic scents of citrus
but this is all finesse and class
The suave and highly seductive flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract while the finish displays focused power on the mildly warm finale
but it s still a huge wine that has overflowing notions of smoked meats
with creamy layers of fig
