The glass appears in Holmegaard's catalogue 1853

This glass is cobalt blue and painted with an ala grecque border in gold and lines in gold

This was only done for a very short time - so the dish can be dated quite precisely to 1893

Royal Copenhagen began producing Blue Fluted as tableware no. 1 in 1775 and is still in production. The Half Lace tableware was added in 1886. The motif is a stylized version of the classic Chinese flower painting, which is several thousand years old.
