This was a nice old church in Portimao that caught my attention
This house on Campo Dos Martires da Patria had the top 2 floors completely clad in the typical blue and white tiles
The wood is a round outer cut from small log and is the perfect fit for a tower as it gives the ideal three dimensional effect

The driftwood piece is probably just as old as the actual building - you could see it had traveled the oceans for probably decades

The houses being tall and narrow are a perfect match for the driftwood boards

This hardwood plank was found here in Malta and looks like it was a discarded passerella
