Each item has an elegantly scalloped rim decorated in gold trim as well as a lovely gold gilt scroll and star patterning along with a blush pink band around the centre highlighted in gold trim with the tea cup having the pink band above the base

The rims also have embossed scroll motifs used directly beneath the rim itself
