A badly aligned chain with put unnecessary wear on the chain and sprockets. To be honest we use the Profi LASER SE Cat laser alignment tool which is much more accurate and easy to use and is also great for aligning belts on Harley Davidsons. If you're skint this tool is much better than guess work, but it is very much a basic budget tool.
